Day trips
Our caring team is at your disposal to offer you various day trips depending on your wishes:
- You can choose between strolling at the sunrise in the palm grove, staying for unforgivable nights in the Sahara dunes, swimming in the Tizgui waterfall or climbing the Mount Kissane.
- You can picnic, hike and ride a mountain bike in the Draa valley.
- You can visit iconic sites of the region such as: Ouarzazate and its film locations and cinema museum, the very old Kasbah Taourirt and the marvelous fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou. You can also stay at the family oasis for a few nights in the mountains to ensure full immersion into the Berber culture. We can also organize for you a visit to Zagora and Tamnougalte. They have a rich history and know-how that you can discover in the pottery neighborhood of Tamegroute, the underground Medina, the library and age-old Zaouia.
We hope that we can guide you to all those unique places and that we can provide relaxation and peace while you enjoy the mesmerizing views.

To the North
Tizgui waterfall, Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou
The Tizgui waterfalls are a magical place when there is water. You can swim under the waterfall, picnic, take a nap, dive and climb as you like.
You’ll go there by car. You can choose between the car or a 3-hour walk through the mountain and the palm grove for your way back.
If you want to go to Ouarzazate, we can offer you :
- A tour through Kasbah Taourirt with a guide who knows the place and its history. You’ll discover there a traditional building made out of rammed earth with magnificent painted wood roofs. You’ll also learn about history and politics.
- You can visit the cinema museum which is right in front of the Kasbah Taourirt.
- You can visit the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a unique place in a beautiful environment, where many movies have been filmed.
To the East
Tarameloul
This a day trip for anyone who enjoys walking and scenery : You’ll start with the Medina and the palm grove. After that, you’ll cross the Draa river and discover some arid scenery with mountains and some typical vegetation of our region such as acacias and palm trees. You’ll eat skewers made on stone-plate grill. You can then take a nap in the shadow before walking again. You’ll then finish the day with a 4-hour hike, that can even be extended for good hikers.
To the south
Palm grove, the Draa valley, Kissane, Zagora, Tamegroute, the Sahara desert
The Draa valley is 150 kilometers long and stretches to the Sahara desert through Zagora, Tamegroute and Mahmid.
- You can set off in the valley and visit the old Medina and the garden of the palm grove after an easy walk.
- You can also venture into the palm grove for a longer walk and visit the very old Tamnougalte Kasbah where you can have lunch There you can enjoy the pristine nature panoramas ! You can spend the entire day there.
- We can also offer you a day trip with picnic, grilling, tea and meeting the inhabitants of the valley. Mountain bikes are available as well as a donkey with a cart who helps us carrying equipment and food. This day trip is tailor-made for your needs.
- The sporty ones can climb the mountain Jebel Kissane which peaks at 1560 meters. You’ll need to be in good shape and have the right equipment. You’ll also need to go with at least 2 guides. We can provide you picnic, grilling food, salads and tea in the mountain.
- For the children, we can offer a day-gateway with mountain bikes or the donkey. They’ll be in good hands with Abdellah’s brothers for a unforgivable day where they’ll gather wood, make a fire, cook skewers and make tea !
They’ll certainly have a lot to tell when they’re back in the evening. This day-trip is always tailor-made.
If you want to get involved into local life, you can visit Agdz’s souk on Thursday morning and walk back through the village.
The Sahara desert …
- We can offer you a getaway to the Sahara desert for one or a few nights under traditional Berber tents in fixed camps or a private camp, which is organized by Abdellah and local camel drivers. This is the perfect occasion to get a taste of the deserts spells such as the dunes, the tents, the friendship’s tea, a ride on a camel’s back, the silence and the vastness … This is a unique and life-changing experience. We can also organize the trip as a celebration, a birthday, a proposal or anything you like…
- We can offer you a multi-day trip while riding a camel in the Moroccan desert. From 5 nights and 1 person to more than 8 nights and a group of 10, Abdellah will lead you far away from modern civilization with camels. The camp is dismantled every morning before load the camels. You’ll ride until tea time. After that, you’ll mount the camp for the night, gather wood and make a big fire that will warm your hearts and help cook bread in the sand ! You should barely see any soul nor cars.
Going out to the desert is an real adventure. You’ll never forget it and have the burning desire to come back … Take advantage of this precious time to spend time alone, to read, to admire the sunset at the top of a dune with a glass of tea in your hand. You can climb on the camel to rest your feet and legs anytime, they are at your disposal !
Come live this unique experience alone, as a couple, with your family or your friends. You’re free to form your group to come and live in total immersion into the nomad Saharan lifestyle.

We offer you the luxury of taking time to live, breathe, contemplate and switch off …
Our team cooks warm meals every night for dinner and salads for lunch. everything is made out of fresh products. The meat is dried to be perfectly preserved in this environment. Fresh vegetables and fruits are served at every meal.
We take all the sanitary precautions possible : we bring mineral water so that you can stay hydrated along the journey, to wash vegetables and fruits that you’ll eat raw. If you want to groom, the water is boiled for maximum hygiene.
Abdellah and his team are able to react quick and use modern technology if necessary.
To the West
Our family oasis
Our family oasis in the mountain is located on the road to Agadir 45 minutes away from the Kasbah. It lies in the heart of the mountains at 1400 meter high.
This place is cradle of Abdellah’s family :
Our family is made out of earth and stones. We made sure that local and traditional materials were used.
We grow 100% organic vegetables with traditional methods of irrigation and without fertilizer and pesticides. We built a sheep pen and a chicken coop and planted dozens of olive trees, fruit trees, palm trees and date trees. We also grow alfalfa, which is the main food source of our 6 sheep.
We are currently building a garden to grow aromatic and medicinal plants.
We installed 2 bee hives that produce a delicious flower honey.
Our tasty vegetables feed out the entire family. We also mainly use our vegetable production from the oasis at the Kasbah.
Soft wheat and buckwheat grown on our earth gives us exceptional flour to cook bread every morning in our traditional hoven.
We offer you to stay here to sleep and live the old way with a small mattress in the living room with its Berber wool carpets. Lighting comes from solar energy. We built there toilets and a big and confortable shower room.
The mountain is marvelous and offers majestic views. This will lead you to meet the nomads, children of the mountain and the preserved Berber lifestyle.
Those excursions are geared towards those who want to reconnect to the essentials such as our precious planet.
